Download Source Files

Most of you will want to offer a download at some point. It’s a good idea to give free things away to your readers and subscribers to help with the bonding factor so here is a quick way to make a Download Call To Action that will sit nicely on your webpage. The PSD is attached so if your feeling particularly lazy today just go ahead and rip it off and do with it as you will.

STEP 1 – Create a new PSD Document at around 300×100 pixels, 72 dpi and in RGB, select the rounded rectangle tool  with a corner radius of 10px and draw a rectangle in the middle of the page. It dosnt matter what colour you have as we will add some layer styles to it.

STEP 2: Select the layer that the rectangle is on and apply the following layer properties.

This is what you should have

So now lets add some text.

STEP 3: I used Arial Black at size 27pt. Again it dosnt matter about what color you apply as we will add some layer properties to it later. Off center the text a little to the right as we will want to add a little Meme in a second.

Now apply the following layer styles to the text like so.

Which should give you something like this

Step 4: Using the Ellipse tool draw a circle to the left of the text

Apply the following layer styles to it

Which….. will leave you with something like this

Now select an arrow from the custom shape tool and apply the same layer properties as we used in the text earlier. Rotate it so it points downwards and center it in the middle

Step 5: Now add some text below the words ‘Download’ – you may want to jig everything around a little so it fit’s nice and smoothly. I used an Arial font in white so its clean and simple at around 10pt

Step 6: Time to shine – well make the button look nice and glossy at least.There are many ways some more complex than others to do this effect. Here is a real simple way that I often use and it’s never failed me yet. Duplicate the main blue background layer, remove all the layer properties and make it white then  and drag it to the top so it covers everything.

Your document should look like this

With the layer selected, select the pen tool and draw a smooth shape on top which should remove the bottom of the layer

Now just lower the opacity to around 36

Which leaves you with this. You may need to flatten the path layer and delete any excess you may have.

It is no secret that one of the best ways to make money online is to build a targeted  email list and to help them learn more about what ever you niche is about.

But when ever a suitable product comes along, sure we email it our subscribers, but only if it adds value, is a good deal and most importantly a benefit to them.

With that said lets make a slick email icon that you ca use to draw a visitors attention to your sign up form.

Step 1: Create a new PSD document 600 x 600 Pixels in RGB

Step 2: Draw a rectangle using the rectangle tool in the middle of it like so.

and add the following layer properties

Step 3: Using the Brush tool set to 1px and black draw 2 lines from corner to corner and add the following layer properties to it.

Which will leave you with this

Step 4:  now draw a rounded rectangle with a corner radius of 10px

And add the following properties

Which will leave you with this

Now flatten the layer, draw a square over it and delete the top half so you get the following.

Step 5: Duplicate the blue layer and scale it down so if fits snug in the middle and give it the following layer properties

Now just crop it/scale it down to what ever size you need  and your done:

I ran a little test a while back and it was almost an instant success. It’s one online money making idea that has huge potential and when you read on will understand why I can share it with you. It’s easy to do quick as a process and very clean.

Most people are sat trying to sell things on Ebay, but have you ever thought abour promoting items from Ebay as an affiliate? Well either way, here is an easy way of getting started without wasting time.

The main idea is this: if anyone is going to part with some serious cash, which they do EVERYDAY on Ebay, then they will obviously search for a review on that specific item they are about to buy. And that is exactly where we come in.

All we got to do is write and optimize a long tail search phrase specific to the listing of interest and get it indexed as fast as you can in to Google. It’s a no brainer and constantly there are loads of new potentials springing up everyday.

Step by Step:

1) Create an Ebay publisher account through here

2) Find an expensive product like a boat or a car etc ($1000+) that has lots of bids and one that people would realistically research. . Make sure it’s not just a one off either. You want to look for a constant source should it take in your niche.

3) Here is the trick – create a new blog post on an ambiguous blog to start with and  write the title exactly the same as the Ebay title and then create a review on it.

4) Make sure to add your affiliate  link to the product on the post clearly at the top.

5) Publish the blog  post.

6) Submit it to digg/delicious/stumbleupon etc for a fast indexing.

Easy………..

Do a few, see what works, think about setting up a niche specific site. There are loads of ways to use this for a long term business plan.

Here is a slick  Page Peel banner ad design  that you can use to promote deals, offers or promos to your website visitors. In this case it’s for an iPad give away but you just need to change the iPad images and text to make it your own.

Page Peel Script Ads is a small animated dog-ear flittering on the top right side of a website. It looks like the corner of the web page is peeled down, revealing a hint of something behind it. If you are looking to promote a new product to your visitors or offer a special deal then it’s worth using for sure.

Step 1 –

Create a new document at 800 x 500 Pixels and at  72 dpi.

Step 2 -

Download the Summer Saver Fire brush here

Step 3 –

Set your foreground color to black and background color to white like so.

Step 4

Install the fire brush by clicking the .abr file you downloaded and then select it from your Brush Preset Picker.

Step 5

Create a new layer and then apply the brush to the center of the screen. This is what you should have.

Step 6

Now it’s time to add a little bit of color to get it looking all firey.

Choose Image >> Adjustments >> Gradient Map

The gradient map pop up box will open and should look like this:

Now it’s time to add the color. Just click on the gradient itself to open up the Gradient Editor like so

This will open the Gradient Editor

Apply these color codes to it

and et voila you should get something like this. If not, don’t worry just make it look like fire as best as you can and it will be fine:

Step 7

To make life a little easier draw a boundary guide. I use a curl effect from the page it will be going on so I can see exactly what I am making. If you download the swipe file used to make this above then you will find the same corner peel template I used which you can use to mark out what will be seen by the end user.

Step 8

Now each and everyone of you will have a different niche and a different offer to promote. However, as far as I can tell the most important call to action will be a ‘Click Here’ button to get prospects to land on either a sales or squeeze page.

How you will lay it out  it will depend on the dimensions of your image used to promote your specific offer. For the purpose of the rest of this tutorial I will use it to promote a free iPad give away using this iPad Graphic

Step 9

Download the iPad image as indicated above and then just reduce it down and rotate it as desired. In this tutorial we have used three duplicates of the same file , but use as many as you like.

Step 10

Next, we want to add a ‘blackout layer’ again how you do this will depend on what your image or icon will be.  Create a new layer below your image layer and select the brush tool at around 30 pixels and make sure you have black set to your foreground color. All you need to do is create a nicer darker color to the image so when we apply text to it later on it is more clearer to read. This is what I did but it isn’t rocket science so just go nuts.

Step 11

Now lets add some text to promote what the offer is. Keep it short and sweet so people get it straight away. As I am promoting an iPad giveaway I made sure to use a Maccy type  font like Verdana. Create a new layer and tap in what you want it to say and then use the same font to enter a sub header. The top line is 47pt’s and the bottom is 25pts. I then applied a very fine drop shadow to make it stand out a little over the areas I have not fully covered with the blackout layer.

Leave a little space at the top right so you can drop in a Sale Star of around 30×30 px if desired. Here is what you should have.

Step 12

There are lots of free star psds all over the web, some good some bad. However it’s good practice to make our own so lets go. Select the Custom Shape Tool as indicated below.

Then select the star shape from the drop down menu at the top of the screen.

Using layer styles apply a gradient to it with the following colors

So you have something like this. We could go all fancy here and add some glassy web 2 effect but for ease of this tutorial we will assume that this is adequate.

Now all we need to do is add some text about our offer. In this case I will add the words 100% Free on two lines in white using Arial font like so

Step 12

Now let’s get to work on the button for people to click. Select the rounded rectangle tool and give it a radius of around 10px.

And then apply the following layer styles:

Which should leave you with this

Now all we need to do is add the text ‘Click Here’ I used Arial sized 24 pt and with this color

Now all you go to do is use it.
